The Farm

Cronkshaw Fold Farm is located in the beautiful Alden Valley, Helmshore, Rossendale. It is a traditional West Pennine working hill farm predominantly farming sheep.

Since 1991 the farm has become a successful centre for educational visits for nursery schools, primary schools and high schools with many children participating in educational visits. Education programmes for reluctant learners have been successfully piloted.

Cronkshaw Fold Farm is also an ideal venue for Childrenīs Birthday Parties catering for children age 3-10 years.

The recently renovated self-catering farm cottage at Cronkshaw Fold Farm combines family friendly accommodation with family activity holidays. It provides an ideal base for exploring local industrial heritage sites, Helmshore Textile Museum, East Lancashire Steam Railway and access to many miles of off-road walking, bridleway routes and national trails. Cronkshaw Fold Farm is fully equipped to cater for walkers, horse riders and mountain bikers.
